An unsung hero of Helston will be recognised when the town hosts its first Citizen of the Year Award.
The award has been introduced by this year’s mayor Mike Thomas, and will be presented at the Annual Town Meeting on Thursday, April 9, along with the Young Citizen of the Year.
People are asked to nominate a resident of Helston who deserves recognition for their service to the local community over the last 12 months.
Nomination forms can be picked up from the town clerk’s office at The Guildhall, Helston Library, Tesco Helston, Helston Museum or Sainsbury’s Helston. Completed forms must be received at The Guildhall by 4pm on Tuesday, March 31.
The award is being sponsored by the Mayor of Helston’s Welfare Fund.
