Pre application advice is being sought for a 75 bedroom Premier Inn hotel with ancillary restaurant facility and 33 car parking spaces on the Old Bakery Studios site in Truro.
The plan is for the site compromising land and buildings at Malpas Road, Truro, and has been submitted on behalf of Whitbread PLC.
The proposal is to demolish the existing buildings upon the site and erect a 75 bedroom Premier Inn Hotel (Class Cl ) with integral restaurant facility.
The proposed envisages the provision of 33 car parking spaces at GFL, which Whitbread consider commensurate with the edge of town centre location, with the four upper floors utilised for the reception area, restaurant and bedrooms.
The site is currently in employment use and the existing tenants on short term leases.
