With warm weather and a good surf forecast for Cornish beaches this weekend, the RNLI is urging people to stay safe and to head to a beach with lifeguard cover
A spokesman said: "f you're planning a trip to the coast, there are still RNLI lifeguards on some beaches in Devon and Cornwall until the end of the half-term holiday on Sunday.
"Head for Praa Sands, Gwithian, Porthmeor, Porthtowan, Perranporth, Fistral, Polzeath, Widemouth, Summerleaze in Cornwall.
"The lifeguards will be on duty from 10am till 5pm today (Friday October 31), Saturday and Sunday, when the season finishes.
At Fistral, RNLI lifeguards will volunteer their time to patrol the beach every weekend in November, finishing on Sunday 30 November.
