It sounds like a skit from a |comedy show – two council workers ending up in the same A&E department at the same time and both coming out |plastered, but that is the painful truth of what happened in Falmouth on Monday.

Val Rogers, administration officer at Falmouth Town Council, and Ruth Abraham, assistant to the town manager, were both walking to work on Monday, separately and from different directions, when they both took a tumble.

Val hobbled into work and was immediately taken to the minor injuries unit at Falmouth Hospital, where she found Ruth in exactly the same predicament.

The pair had both broken a bone in one foot and both left hospital in plaster and on crutches. PPV wishes a speedy recovery to both ladies with the hope they are back on two feet again soon.
