THE Flicka Foundation enjoyed a very special guest appearance at their open day, as patron of the foundation, TV actress Caroline Quentin arrived with her family to give her support.
“She was an absolute delight,” said a spokesperson for the Flicka Foundation. “She was friendly to everyone.”
The open day enjoyed wonderful weather, attracting plenty of visitors.
There was a host of activities such as a tombola, pony rides, cream tea stalls and an equine-themed cake competition to make the day fun for everyone, with a total of £2,200 raised.
“It was very well attended. The day was absolutely fabulous,” added the spokesperson.
The funds raised will help with the winter hay and feed appeal, as well as for a send off for one member of the foundation, who is travelling to India to give aid to donkeys.
