The residents of King Charles Court nursing home in Falmouth can look forward to some days out over the summer thanks to fundraising efforts of staff, their families and neighbours.
The home in Marlborough Road held a table top sale when items which had been donated by residents’ relatives and friends of the home were snapped up. By the end of the afternoon around £130 had been raised.
Jodie Benson, administrator at the home, said: “It went really well, better than we thought it would go. We were raising money for the residents’ fund which pays for days out for the residents. We are hoping to go to Trebah this summer and other different outings too.”
