Last year’s sixth-formers joined the current cohort at Helston Community College when a Post 16 Prom was held.

Taking place at the Merchants Manor in Falmouth, it was open to all year 12 and 13 students, plus those who left last summer.

It was the largest number at a Post 16 Prom in recent history, with 178 guests attending, including approximately 20 members of staff.

Photos were taken on the lawn before dinner, and after the meal student awards were handed out.

Entertainment was led by the band Keiko Rise, and there was even a photo booth where students put on wigs, scarves and other dressing up items.

Matt Porter, post 16 head of progress, said: “The hotel staff were extremely professional and helpful and we are very grateful for all their support.”
