Mystery surrounds the death of a man who was found in a swimming pool at Poldhu on Saturday afternoon.
The 45-year-old man, who police say is from the Helston area, was discovered at around 3.30pm.
It is thought that staff from the nearby Poldhu Care Home found the man and dragged him out of the water, before calling 999.
However, contrary to some reports, the pool is not part of the nursing home and was located at a private house.
The air ambulance was sent and paramedics attempted to give CPR to the man, who was not breathing.
He was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, where he was pronounced dead.
Police were subsequently called to the house at around 5pm the same day, after being contacted by ambulance staff.
A spokesperson confirmed that police did not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances.
The coroner is expected to be informed.
