Swanpool Beach in Falmouth will be the venue for Cornwall Hospice Care’s event Reflections at the weekend when anyone who has lost a loved one is invited along to take part.
The charity’s community fundraiser Clare Bray, who is organising Sunday’s event, said: “We would like to invite people to join us on the beach and to put a tag with a message or the name of a loved one on a flower which will be placed on our special raft and floated out to sea with the outgoing tide.”
The raft will be floated just before 6pm with some gentle background music and words of comfort.
Clare added: “Even if you are unable to join us on the evening but would like to include your message and flower on the raft, please contact Cornwall Hospice Care and I will ensure your flower is included.”
Anyone wishing to take part can download a form from the charity’s website www.cornwallhospicecare.co.uk or call the fundraising office on 01726 66868.
