The Kimberley Park Association is hosting its annual family fun day on Sunday, June 8, to raise enough money to buy a permanent table tennis table for the park.

Between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday there will be table-tennis themed entertainment, with Falmouth Docks Table Tennis Club giving demonstrations, coaching tips and giving people the chance to have a go, although you are asked to bring your own bats and ball if you have them.

Last week local residents took their own table-tennis table into Kimberley Park to promote the fun day which will also feature music from Source FM, ping pong crafting, giant games, mega football fun, cakes and refreshments, face-painting and a vintage fair. The association has put out an appeal for cakes, asking anyone who can to bring one along on the day.

There will also be a raffle with a chance to win prizes including a family ticket to Dairyland, and a family swim at the St Michael’s Hotel and Spa.

You can keep up to date on plans for the fun day, and the fundraising campaign, by visiting the “let’s improve Kimberley Park” page on Facebook.
