The operators of Dominos Pizza in Falmouth have been successful in winning longer opening hours for the take-away.

The business had been restricted to closing at 11pm, but argued it was losing out as there was a demand for extended opening.

Falmouth’s planning committee had opposed the application, concerned it would lead to a noise nuisance, but Cornwall Council has approved it meaning Dominos can now remain open until 1am, seven days a week.

Finally the authorities are matching 'need' with 'demand'. Like it or not Falmouth is a young town with a vibrant night life.

Would Domino's require their lubricated patrons to eat inside after midnight like the Falmouth grill has to? Just a thought.

No because you can have the pizzas delivered.

I think you'd get pizza topping down your suit and tie if you tried eating one in the street in any case.

Yeah, it was a good place to go for an evening meal, though i personally never tried any of their Pizza's. The demand for Pizza at Dominos is certainly very high, as the staff are constantly flitting from the premises to their cars to deliver them to customers homes. In the short time that Dominos have been in Falmouth, they can certainly claim that they have been hugely successful. No doubt the number of Students in the area are boosting their trade somewhat. Still think a takeaway Curry is hard to beat though!
