A man from Cornwall has been charged over the deaths of two charity cyclists on the A30 last September.
Robert Wayne Palmer, aged 32-years-old from Bude, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
He also faces a further count of dangerous driving in relation to another collision on September 21 on the A30 near Okehampton.
He has been released on bail to appear at Bodmin Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 3.
Andrew McMenigall and Toby Wallace, both employees of Aberdeen Asset Management were just 40 miles into a 960-mile bike ride from Lands End to John o’ Groats to raise money for two charities close to their hearts.
Andrew, 47, was a senior investment manager and had been an officer in the British Army, as well as a husband and father.
Toby, 36, was a champion sportsman, who was in the winning crew for two University Boat Races, who joined the company as a graduate trainee from Jesus College, Cambridge.
