The acclaimed novelist Lionel Shriver, writer of 'We Need to Talk About Kevin', has been named as Falmouth University’s latest writer in residence at its school of writing and journalism.

She is the third writer to take on this role, following the success of non-fiction author Philip Marsden in 2012 and poet and playwright Owen Sheers last year.

Lionel will take up the post on Tuesday and her residency will continue until the beginning of May, and will see her deliver a series of writing workshops to Falmouth University students as well as open readings for students, the public, local schools and writing groups.
