More than 30 members of a Helston dance school spent the entire day practising their fancy footwork to raise funds for Cancer Research.

All ages got involved, from three-year-olds through to teenagers, with the Ocean Academy of Dance.

They held a “dance-a-thon” at Helston Community College and raised £895 in the process.

The children danced all day, taking part in workshops in contemporary, jazz, street and breakdance, which were taught by guest teachers and also dance school owner Jo Simms.

Jo, who set up the school ten years ago, has thanked all the teachers and children involved for making the day such a successful fundraising event for the Cancer Research charity.

Anyone who would still like to make a donation to the charity can contact Jo by calling 07990 635669 or at jo@oceanacademyofdance.co.uk.
