First published in Cornwall

The chairman of Penryn’s Royal British Legion is drumming up recruits for a project researching residents’ ancestors from the First World War.

Chas Wenmoth is asking anyone in Penryn who would like to know more about their family’s involvement in the war to take part in his Who Do You Think You Were project, part of the town’s commemoration of World War One.

Anyone who has photographs, medals, or other items related their family’s involvement, including the women who took on traditionally male roles, can contact Chas at penrynww1@gmail.com.
