Drivers are warned to take care after reports of flooding on the A39 at the Norway Inn and on the A3083 at Helston and the B3300 New Portreath Road around Bassett Road is just passable due to flooding.

The road is "just passable" due to flooding around Cove Hill  and this is affecting traffic travelling between Truro and Penryn/Falmouth.

With wild weather due this afternoon, a high tide of over five metres just after 5.30pm, a storm surge and more heavy rain, could combine to create problems for after work commuters.

There are also reports of flooding on the A3083 between A394 Clodgey Lane (Helston) and The Square / Beacon Terrace (Lizard).
