Reminder to have your say on £250,000 Helston cash fund

This is The West Country: Reminder to have your say on £250,000 Helston cash fund Reminder to have your say on £250,000 Helston cash fund

Helston residents are being urged to fill in and return questionnaires being distributed this week about the future of the town.

The forms ask people how they think £250,000 should be spent on improving Helston.

Meetings are also taking place with businesses, students and personnel at RNAS Culdrose. Results will be revealed at a public meeting towards the end of February.

Have you noticed meerkats ever since someone said he wouldnt comment, all our comments are voted down. Petty, anyone that just spends their time pressing a thumbs button i think shows lack of intelligence.

Why would anyone bother voting down my comment just saying that i hadnt received a questionaire as yet , which incidentally i have now just got it. I noticed on the Hilltop news item that i have received thumbs down oh well if it keeps the person or person amused then let them carry on , if they arent bothered to leave a comment themselves and just press dislike then maybe they should get out more.

meerkats please don't let it bother you, we all know the same person is multi voting them all down, it does not take intelligence to vote alone, it takes intelligence to comment! I watched the scoring drop in seconds on one of mine. It doesn't worry me because I can comment and express an opinion and read yours and others comments which I like to do. I am interested in honest debate whether or not people agree or disagree with me, I have no interest in point scoring. The only voting I am interested in is the election!
Glad you got your questionnaire.

Thanks Gill i dont let it bother me anymore though i must admit there was a time when i almost stopped commenting due to the continual thumbs down. I hope that people will take the time to fill in the questonaires and not just put them to one side as its opinions that are going to improve Helston and its no good for anyone to moan after the closing date .

If you are referring to the point scoring, obviously others outside of Helston can vote but don't you notice the same doesn't happen with the Falmouth articles, and I know for a fact multiple scoring by one person is possible so I wouldn't flatter yourself just yet that you get all your thumbs up points from lots of different people, more likely just your own voting and one or two others. Possibly Ron, About 20 people simultaneously vote on a same Helston article that always seems to involve the council or BIP, I don't think so. You enjoy your points because most of us are more interested in commenting than point scoring, I think its pathetic.
