UPDATE. Following formal identification, police have named a man who died following a crash at Rame on Sunday as Peter Coram, 53, from the Rosudgeon area.

The victim, was involved in a collision just after 8am on Sunday, January 19, on the A394 at Rame.

Police say that a BMW Z3 car travelling towards Falmouth from the Helston direction was in collision with a VW Polo travelling in the opposite direction.

The male driver of the BMW died at the scene and the female driver of the VW was initially taken to Treliske Hospital before being transferred to Derriford Hospital.

She sustained serious injuries in the crash.

The dead man has not been formally identified, but is thought to be a man in his forties from Penzance.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision.

Officers from the Serious Collisions Unit at Camborne attended the scene.
