A project in memory of Perranwell Station teenager Tanisha Jane has received a £162 donation from a Carnon Downs based events company.
Deborah Martyn Events raised the money for Tanisha’s Gift with their animal pen at Truro’s Victorian Christmas show, which this year featured two angora goats from Blegan Farm in Camborne.
Martyn Davies, the company’s events director, said: “This year we decided to donate the monies to a cause close to home.
“We are always very pleased with the generosity shown by members of the visiting public to the event and have great pleasure in making this donation to the memory of such a |special young lady.”
Tanisha’s Gift, set up following the sad and unexpected death of the teenager, aged just 19, in August 2012, aims to enable teachers and students to collaborate globally.
In May last year the project sent several of Tanisha’s peers to Los Angeles to take part in activities and work with students studying at the Los Angeles Harbor College.
