Stargazers will get the chance to get to together with members of the Cornwall Astronomical Society at a community event at Threemilestone School on Saturday, January 11 from 6 - 10pm.
Children from the school, parents, grandparents and members of the wider community are invited to look through powerful telescopes at the nights sky, listen to a short talk about the moon and constellations and take part in an interactive planetarium display, meteor counting and learn about the solar system.
Children in Years 5 and 6 have been learning about the solar system as part of their topic in school and this fabulous event with the Cornwall Astronomical Society will draw the topic to an exciting climax.
This is especially exciting since it co-insides with the BBC's series of programmes and events on Sky Gazing Live.
