Helston Football Club's fireworks to take place this Friday after storm stops show
9:20am Thursday 7th November 2013 in Cornwall
After strong winds led to the cancellation of Helston Football Club's fireworks display last Saturday. the event has been rearranged for this Friday.
Organisers were faced with rain and near gale force winds, which led to potential health and safety concerns.
They are now hoping for a kinder forecast for this Friday's display, which all being well will start at 7.30pm.
Entry costs £3 for adults and £1 for children, and anyone thinking of watching from just outside the grounds has been urged to go inside by organiser Gary Martin, who said it was only by people paying to watch that the event could take place.
The designated drop zone for the fireworks is just over the hedge from the main club and people should avoid that area.
Approximately £4,800 worth of fireworks will be let off in front of the thousands expected to attend.
There will be no access to the football club for parking after 5.30pm.
