Truro School open day for prospective pupils
7:00am Sunday 3rd November 2013 in Cornwall
The Landsdowne family from Mylor were among the many who flocked to Truro High School when it opened its doors at two recent open mornings.
The senior school event took place first when students and staff were all in school and visitors were able to watch them in their lessons and tour the site with pupil guides.
The following Saturday it was the prep school’s turn, opening their doors to prospective parents and girls for a bespoke event for the first time. Truro High prep school pupils from Year 4 upwards were in class, enjoying fun lessons like cooking, creative writing, hockey, 3D shape making, circuit training and bead making.
“Both open mornings were very successful,” said Truro High headmistress Caroline Pascoe. “It’s very useful to be able to see classes in action and get a real feel for the very happy atmosphere we have here. There was also plenty of opportunity to ask questions and chat to current students.”
