Penryn garage annexe plan wins backing despite objections
11:00am Saturday 2nd November 2013 in Cornwall
Penryn Town Council has recommended approving an application to replace a garage on Dunvegan Road with a new family annexe.
The proposal for the two storey dwelling attracted objections regarding potential effects on the ‘balanced’ cul-de-sac.
Mr and Mrs Hughes objected via email that the building would affect the “appearance and layout” of the street, may set a precedent for similar conversions, and have an effect on local parking.
Mr Kevin Gray also expressed his concern over the “detrimental” visual impact of the planned changes and the possible precedent it would set for “backland development”.
