Falmouth’s newest PCSO, Becky Bromley is settling into her new job after deciding on a complete change of career.
Only a few months ago, Becky was pampering people as a beauty therapist based at MJ Hair in Penryn, but now she is pounding the streets of Falmouth in her new role – and enjoying every minute of it.
Becky is assigned to the Penwerris ward, but on Friday she was out and about in the town centre with Arwenack beat manager, PC Andy Hocking, and fellow PCSO Bill Wood.
She is now in her sixth week of work following an eight week training period. “I have wanted to be in the police force for years, but I had two young children,” she said.
“Now they are six and four it seemed the right time and I have a lot of support from my mum.
“It has been really good so far, I’ve been out in the community and everyone has been very welcoming.”
