Fatal A39 crash: UPDATE. Victim named as young father Dom Christophers

UPDATE The victim of yesterday's crash on the A39 has been named online as Dom Christophers.
The 21-year-old father was one of the drivers involved in a collision on the A39 at Stickenbridge, between Treluswell and Perranarworthal, at around 9am.
Mr Christophers, who was in his early 20s, together with his front seat passenger, another man also in his twenties, were both airlifted to Truro’s Royal Cornwall Hospital.
It was subsequently confirmed that Mr Christophers had died as a result of his injuries, while his passenger has sustained injuries to his leg and wrist, described by police as “serious.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to yesterday's fatal crash on the A39 near Trelusswell.
The collsion, which left one man dead and another seriously injured, closed one of the busiest routes in the county until 9.30pm, while an investigation took place.
The two occupants of the Mercedes van escaped 'relatively unharmed', according to police.
Highways department workers were still at the scene until the late evenging dealing with a fuel spill.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone seeing the vehicles – a silver Ford Focus and a white Mercedes Sprinter van – to please call police on 101 quoting ref 168 of 28 October.
