The Gyllyngdune Tea Festival returns to Falmouth on Saturday, September 28 and, not only is it bigger and better, but it’s also free entry this year.

The festival draws inspiration from the Gyllyngdune estate, which was once owned by an eccentric tea merchant who imported exotic teas and other rarities to the Cornish shores.

At this year’s festival you can expect to find a selection of activities, stalls and exhibitions to keep you quenched. Try some tea tasting or listen to tea talks from Tregothnan.

There are plenty of tea trader stalls selling all kinds of stuff from fancy teapots to tasty tea varieties. Children can enjoy tea trails and face painting and live music will create a great atmosphere.

Speaking of dances, why not dress up for a tea dance and receive a free lesson — or just watch it all and enjoy an afternoon tea.

The free entry event runs from 11am until 5pm. Call the box office on 01326 211222 for more information.
