1:00pm Saturday 7th September 2013 in Cornwall
A push in a nightclub, which sent a man to the floor, led to |the appearance before Truro magistrates of a Carnon Downs man.
James Peter Martin, aged 21, of Forth Noweth, pleaded guilty to assaulting Dean Michael Reynolds at the L2 nightclub in Truro on April 1.
Alison May, for the CPS, said he had been ejected from the club after what happened and then the police were told.
Julian Berg, for Martin, said he regretted what happened. There had been some words between his brother and the victim and Mr Reynolds had been approaching the defendant when he pushed him away, violently.
Mr Reynolds went over backwards, fell over some stools and then on to the floor. Martin admitted he had lost his temper.
Working for the family’s waste business, the defendant was fined £105 and £80 costs and surcharge and given a drink banning order for six months.
