Colourful characters dressed in all manner of costumes gathered in Budock on Saturday for the annual village carnival procession.
Harry Potter, Luke Skywalker, Spiderman, Charlie Chaplin and characters from the movie Despicable Me, all made an appearance in the village.
St Keverne Band led the parade from the playing field where the judging had taken place down to Stephney Parc and back to the Trelowarren Arms where those taking part enjoyed a barbecue in last of the day’s summer sunshine.
The carnival day marked the end of Budock Water’s carnival week which had been kicked off the weekend before with a fun day, again held in the village playing field.
A host of other activities then took place throughout the week in the Trelowarren Arms, including a pasty and fuggan cake making competition, bingo, a euchre drive and music and general knowledge quiz.
