Four arrests as police swoop on Falmouth home after drugs tip off
4:00pm Friday 30th August 2013 in Cornwall
Police raided a house near Falmouth seafront last Friday and arrested four people on suspicion of drug possession.
Officers swooped on the house in Gyllyngvase Road after obtaining a search warrant, as a result of intelligence received by Falmouth’s PC Barry Nicholas.
A police dog specially trained in the drugs searches was also involved in the operation.
As a result of the raid four bags of “green matter,” suspected to be cannabis, were found on a table.
A 61-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, all from Falmouth, were arrested and released on police bail until October 9.
A 20-year-old man formerly of Falmouth but now living in the London area was also arrested and bailed..
Inquiries are now continuing by police officers in that area.
Last week’s raid was led by Acting Sergeant Paul Kelly, who said: “It’s satisfying to be able to think credible intelligence has come in and have a positive result from it.”
The suspected drugs have been sent away to be tested.
