The staff and children of Jumblies Day Nursery in Penryn went a lovely shade of pink last week in honour of Falmouth’s Pink Wig Events.

Supporting the local fundraisers for the second year, the nursery at Jubilee Wharf had a pink celebration on Friday, raising money for Pink Wig Events and their selected Breast Cancer Care charities.

All the staff and children sported pink clothing and wigs and enjoyed a day full of pink themed celebrations. The children had made pink arts and crafts, they enjoyed pink snacks and they also danced with Gill Sadler of Embrace Dance Fit in a special Pink Wig themed Zumba class.

The nursery collected and received donations from the children’s parents in aid of the event and will present Pink Wig Events with their total money raised this week.

“The Pink Wig Events team would like to make a special thank you to both Jumblies Day Nursery and Embrace Dance Fit for their constant support in both fundraising events and attendance to the main Pink Wig Event,” said Claire Wood.

“This year sees the big party take place on Friday 9th August at Events Square and all details of where to buy tickets, how to be involved and more are available at www.pinkwigevent.org.uk.”
