The year 11 pupils were treated like movie stars arriving at a Hollywood premiere as the crowd whooped and cheered for each new arrival.

A wide array of vehicles ranging from Porsches, a Rolls Royce and a pink Cadillac, to tractors and fire engines queued up to deliver the pupils on the road to get into the hotel forecourt, although the biggest cheer of the evening was reserved for the pupils who turned up in a souped-up boy racer.

While the girls looked stunning in their colourful prom dresses, the boys were dressed to the nines in slimline suits and tuxedos.

Pupils then gathered on the hotel lawn for a group photo before enjoying a sit down meal and a disco at a ball to celebrate the last time they would all be together before going their separate ways.
