Firefighters were called out to recue a dog that had taken a tumble down a mine shaft at Minions near Liskeard yesterday evening.
Two pumping appliances from Callington rescued a springer spaniel that was trapped approximately ten feet down a wet mine shaft on a ledge in the Minion area of Liskeard.
Crew used a triple extension ladder and rope rescue equipment to retrieve the dog, which was then reunited with its owner.
