Hundreds of schoolkids have paraded through the streets of Truro to mark St Piran's Day.

The patron saint of tinners, as he is credited with "discovering" tin in Cornwall when his hearthstone became so hot the metal started to form on the surface.

The pupils pulled out all the stops, walking through the city's streets waving Cornish flags and with some wearing Cornish tartan

Local musicians also performed, ending with the singing of Trelawny.
