For footballers it is usually the feet that see the most action, but on Saturday hands came into play for members of Culdrose Youth football teams.
They were at Helston’s Sainsbury’s supermarket packing bags to raise money for new kit and equipment for next season.
The youngsters packed up customers’ shopping for them, in return for a donation to the club.
A total of £476.11 was raised over the course of the afternoon, which has been described as “fantastic” by the club.
Culdrose youth secretary Alan Odgers said: “Our thanks go to Sainsbury’s and all of their shoppers who generously donated, and of course to all of the Culdrose youngsters and managers who gave up their time to fundraise for their club.”
