Special Valentine for Helston care home residents

A special Valentine’s Day dinner for family and friends of residents at a Helston care home will be held next week.

Trengrouse House, which is run by Cornwall Care, will play host to the three course meal next Thursday, February 14 when the home will be decorated with hearts and rose.

Manager Julie Halliwell organised the event so that residents of the 41-bedroom home, which provides specialist dementia and nursing care, could share the occasion with family and friends.

She said: “Our residents love to have visitors and we felt that Valentine’s was a perfect opportunity for us to welcome in members of the local community to take part in this themed event.

“Partners, relatives or friends of past and present residents will come together to enjoy each other’s company.

“We pride ourselves at Cornwall Care on being part of the community and having visitors helps make our home a vibrant, happy place for the residents.”

Tickets for the dinner, which includes a glass of wine, cost £5 each and need to be reserved by this Sunday.
