Ever watched a film and think: “I could do better than that?” Now is the time to prove it.

An independent production company based in Helston has put out an open casting call for amateurs with acting ambitions to take part in its film.

Longdog Productions, based in Helston, is looking for all types of people to be part of a survival action drama that is being filmed near Praze-An-Beeble.

Filming will take place at the end of March beginning of April, on the weekends.

There are opportunities for local people to take on lead or supporting roles with speaking parts, regardless of previous experience, as well as plenty of space for extras just wanting to enjoying the experience.

The casting will take place at Cornwall College Camborne on Monday, February 25.

The call time for people wanting to be extras is 9am to noon, while anyone wanting speaking parts needs to be there between 1pm and 5pm.

Ben Fullman, first assistant director, said: “This is a great opportunity for budding actors in Cornwall to gain some invaluable experience and possible credits to their name.”

Potential extras should just attend on the day, but budding actors hoping for a speaking role should email auditions@longdogproductions.co.uk.
