Tea and cake for Gweek farm care centre open day

Tea and cake will greet visitors to this year’s Holifield Farm Project open day at Gweek.

The farm in Bonallack Lane is home to a day care centre for adults with learning disabilities and special needs.

The open day on Friday, March 1 will give them the chance to show the work they have been doing and also let visitors look around the facilities.

People are encouraged to take along a picnic lunch for the event, which runs from 11am until 3pm.

There will be walks, the chance to feed chickens, see the sows and sow seeds in the polytunnel.

Visitors can also enjoy do some art, pot a flower to take home with them and have a look in the farm’s art gallery.
