The family of Mark Robinson, who died in a crash at Carnon Downs on Saturday, have paid tribute to a "gentle, caring man" and "gifted musician."

The 21-year-old was from a close family who all live in and around Falmouth and had recently moved to St Agnes with his partner.

In a statement released via the police his family, who are said to be distraught at his untimely death, said: "Mark was a gentle, caring man who was just beginning the next chapter of his life with his partner Lesley.

"He loved music and was a gifted musician.

“He has never given his parents a minute’s worry; he was a son to be proud of."

Mark died on Saturday afternoon following a collision with a lorry on Bissoe Road near Carnon Downs.

A fire engine from Truro, rescue tender from Camborne, the police and ambulance service were all called out to the scene of the accident at 3.25pm.
