Chartered accountant faces £150,000 fraud charges

A former chartered accountant from Perranporth appeared in court this week accused of almost £150,000 worth of fraud.
David Malcolm Pennington, of Bolingey, is charged with 15 counts of fraud by abuse of position between April 2007 and November 2009.
The 68-year-old allegedly committed the fraud while working as a chartered accountant and bank signatory for Park Retail South West Limited.
The case was adjourned for committal to crown court on February 21 at 2pm.
