A director of Helston flooring shop Carpet Connection has gone to the top of the pile after taking over the business.

Kevin Williams, pictured, has become the owner following the retirement of Bill Chapman.

Kevin joined the company, which has been running for 25 years, when it was still based at the Angel Centre.

At that time the showroom and cash and carry side of the business were in separate buildings, but that changed five years ago when Carpet Connection relocated to the Water Ma Trout Industrial Estate under one roof.

Kevin said: “Having worked for Carpet Connection for so long, when the opportunity arose to take over it was an easy decision to make.

“So far the company has enjoyed 25 successful years and I look forward to hopefully continuing that good work.”

Carpet Connection offers carpet and vinyl samples to view in its showroom while the warehouse, at the back of the building, houses off-the-roll carpets and vinyls, as well as remnants, together with a selection of wood flooring and rugs.
