Helston flood temporary homes stayed empty

Despite temporary homes being made available to flood victims of Helston over the Christmas period, happily no one had to take them up.

Mark Upton and Emma Wooderson were co-ordinating an emergency evacuation centre at the hall and help for those affected by flooding.

They arranged for 12 locations where people could stay if they were unable to return home due to flood damage.

These included accommodation offered by Helston's Methodist minister Rev Danny Reed.

Although Mark and Emma were on standby throughout Christmas, Mark said no one had contacted them about receiving emergency help.
