Capturing a snapshot of autumn was the challenge set for amateur photographers by Trevena Cross Nurseries and Garden Centre at Breage.
Entries were sent in thick and fast for the Autumn Snippets competition, and now, after much deliberation, the nursery has announced its winner.
Taking the prize photograph was Elizabeth Goodfellow from Helston, who has won £25 worth of vouchers to spend at the garden centre.
Her picture showed an autumnal scene depicting people heading to church on Remembrance Sunday, amid dappled sunlight and brown leaves.
Announcing the result on its Facebook page, Trevena Cross said: “Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. We had some wonderful entries which made the judging process very difficult indeed.
“We felt Elizabeth’s entry epitomised a gorgeous autumn morning and really captured the beauty of the season.”
Entries had been whittled down to a shortlist of nine and the other eight contenders will be posted on the nursery’s Facebook page in the coming days.
