Landewednack pupils wear jeans for genes
10:00am Sunday 28th October 2012 in Cornwall
It was all about jeans and genes at Landewednack School when pupils adapted their uniform for the day to raise money for charity.
The youngsters at the Lizard-based primary school swapped their grey skirts and trousers for denim when they supported Jeans for Genes day.
Staff also got in on the act, with everyone taking part giving a donation for the charity that supports children born with genetic illnesses. Every year 30,000 children are born in the UK with a genetic disorder.
Lyndsay Bray, from the school, said: “Everyone at Landewednack is very proud to support and raise awareness of this charity.”
