Daring cliff abseil by Burnham autism sufferer

A DAREDEVIL fundraiser has been able to donate more than £600 to charity after completing a challenging abseil.
Autism and epilepsy sufferer Jonathan Main (pictured right) raised the cash for Diabetes UK.
He was inspired to carry out the challenge because his father was diagnosed with the condition 30 years ago.
Jonathan, 45, who lives in Burnham, told the Weekly News that the abseil from cliffs at Uphill Quarry, near Weston, was an early Christmas present from him to his father.
He added: “It felt scary but I was happy to take part.”
His parents, Catherine and Campbell, who live at West Huntspill, said: “We are very proud of Jonathan for completing the abseil.
“We were very relieved when he reached the ground.
“It was a real achievement for him.”
