A BURNHAM Air Cadet was among three members of a Squadron who were crowned Aircraft Recognition Champions of the South-West for the third year in a row.

Dan Seaman, 16, joined Andrew Beadle, 17, and Andrew Beadle, 17, from 290 Squadron to take the title after battling other squadrons in a closely matched competition.

Team manager Andrew said: “This was a superb win for 290 and Devon and Somerset wing.

“With each photo being on the screen for only one second it was really hard to come out on top.

“It was an excellent team performance and the highlight of my year.”

The team will now go on to compete against five other regions from around Britain at a national competition to be held at RAF museum London next month.

290 Squadron parade Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.45pm in Weston and Burnham.
