Open evening at Holyrood proves a big hit

THE annual open evening at Holyrood Academy in Chard proved a big success once again.
The school was packed on Thursday evening with prospective students and their parents eager to find out what Holyrood had to offer.
Youngsters were impressed with the vast array of opportunities available to them and their parents – many of whom were students themselves at Holyrood – were impressed at how the school had developed since their days in the classroom.
Headteacher Maurice Hicks said he would like to thank everyone who attended the open evening and hoped it had been of use to the visitors.
