Natalie is frilling the world with Seraphina Fairy Tales

WHEN Natalie Turner decided to cut costs last Christmas, she had no idea what she was about to do next would turn into a global phenomenon.

The mum-of-four felt the tutus she was buying for her two daughters were too expensive, so she took the matter into her own hands and made them herself.

Now, the 28-year-old is on top of the world after receiving orders from some of America’s hottest celebrities, including singer Beyonce and TV star Kourtney Kardashian.

Natalie said: “It’s gone crazy – it doesn’t feel real.

“My daughters wanted tutus last Christmas so I had a look and they were going to cost £40 each. “I wasn’t going to pay £80 for tutus so I thought I’d try and make my own and the kids loved them. “Before I knew it, family wanted them made for their children and then friends of friends.

“Another suggested I should start making more and sell them on Facebook.”

Little did Natalie know but her glitzy children’s dresses were attracting worldwide attention.

A PR company from America got in touch and said they wanted to work with her business, Seraphina Fairy Tales. Natalie added: “I’ve had orders from Kourtney Kardashian, Uma Thurman, Katherine Heigl and I’m doing a dress for Beyonce’s daughter’s first birthday. I can’t believe it.

“Kourtney put a photo of her daughter’s wardrobe on Facebook and you could see what I’d made hanging up. It doesn’t seem real.”

Run from her home in Chard, the trendy fashion label has already exceeded all Natalie’s expectations – but she’s not about to stop there. She said: “I’ve had loads of orders for Christmas already. It’s going to be so busy but I’m looking forward to it.”

Lots of companies do this, its called celebrity gifting and is run through websites such as black diamond, basically a small business pays to have their item (in this case tutu's) to be added to a gift box that is then sent to the celebrity for the birth of their child, or birthday, its nothing new and anyone can do it, its hardly getting orders from celebrities now is it, when the celebrity does not have a clue about the small business or what they make until the item is sent to them, and no doubt they get hundreds of items sent to them which more than likely get donated on to childrens hospitals and charities.
