Wave of arrests in Taunton
PLAIN clothes police made 17 arrests in Taunton over five nights last week in a series of operations.
Those arrested were suspected of offences ranging from theft and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply to drink driving, going equipped to steal and being wanted on outstanding warrants.
Insp Stuart Bell said: “This was the latest Taunton operation as part of Avon and Somerset’s Operation Relentless.
“It shows the commitment neighbourhood policing teams have in keeping out neighbourhoods safe and crime free.”
