A DELICIOUS spread of cakes at a coffee morning organised by two West Somerset Commmunity College students has helped boost funds for charity.
Abbie Smith, 17, and Laura Winzer, 16, raised £183 from the event at the college’s Combe Restaurant towards their target of £800 in aid of the Breast Cancer Campaign.
As well as competitions, the girls are also hoping to complete a tandem skydive today (October 6), which will see them jump at over 10,000 feet and freefall halfway at speeds of up to 120mph.
Abbie and Laura said: “We would like to thank everyone who came along and supported the coffee morning.
“We are looking forward to the sky dive but are feeling just as nervous as excited.”
If you would like to donate, contact the Combe Restaurant on 01643-700322 or 01643-700335 or the main college on 01643-706061.
