AN ANNUAL Country and Western festival held in Brean this week is bringing in younger crowds, say organisers.
Crowds gathered at Brean Leisure Park for a Country Music Festival, which runs until Sunday.
More than 70 well-known country acts will be performing at venues such as The Seagull, Scotty’s Bar, The Beachcomber and Brean Leisure Park to mark the occasion.
A spokesman for Brean Leisure told the Weekly News: “We have the biggest venue and the most stalls and things but lots of other businesses get involved.
“It’s going really well and it’s even busier than we were last year. There’s loads of people still coming and prior to it starting we sold out reservations, which hasn’t happened before.
“It’s proved very popular for years but it’s really picked up momentum now and we’re getting younger crowds.”
Music acts will be running throughout the event, which also includes market stalls, shootouts, re-enactments, line dancing lessons and themed evenings.
